Who we are
SkoolPath is a South African service that helps parents find schools and manage admissions. You can contact our Information Officer at privacy@skoolpath.co.za.
What we collect on the waitlist
- Your email address (required).
- Optionally: your first name, suburb and WhatsApp number.
- The grade and year your child will start school. We do not ask for your child's name, ID number or birth date.
- Whether you'd like to reserve the founding-member price.
- Which link brought you to us (for example, a Facebook group), so we know where parents find us.
- The date and wording of the consent you gave.
Why we collect it
- To tell you when SkoolPath launches. You agreed to this when you joined.
- If you opted in: to send occasional admissions tips and deadline reminders.
- To understand, in total and not per person, which grades, years and areas parents need most.
We never sell your information, and we don't share it with schools or advertisers.
Where it is stored
Your details are stored securely with our database provider, Supabase, on servers in Ireland (European Union). EU data protection law gives protection at least equal to POPIA (section 72). Access is restricted to SkoolPath.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to remove it, or 12 months after you joined if SkoolPath has not launched by then, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, at any time by emailing privacy@skoolpath.co.za. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
